The 'Ndocciata is the fire ritual of Agnone, in the province of Isernia in Upper Molise. On the second Saturday of December, this year Saturday 12 December 2026, the Great 'Ndocciata takes place, the event that began with the special parade held for the Jubilee of 2000. The 'ndocce are large fan-shaped torches made of silver fir wood that can carry up to twenty flames; hundreds of cloaked bearers carry them on their shoulders, grouped by district: Capammonde and Capabballe, Colle Sente, Guastra, Sant'Onofrio and San Quirico. The procession runs along the town's main street and ends in Piazza Plebiscito with the Bonfire of Brotherhood, next to the nativity scene. Times and route are confirmed by the organisers.
